Sen̓áḵw Water and Sewer Fee Law

Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation) is developing a new bylaw about water and sewer fees for the Sen̓áḵw development. This bylaw will allow Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw to charge tenants for using water and sewer services, similar to how the City of Vancouver charges for sewer services. Nation provides clarity on Central 1 building

A Vancouver Sun story published today reports that Nch’ḵaý Development Corporation is negotiating to purchase the Central 1 office building at 1441 Creekside Drive in Vancouver. The article appeared before we had the opportunity to brief the community. We therefore wish to clarify the situation:

Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation), as part of the MST Partnership (Musqueam Indian Band, Squamish Nation and Tsleil-Waututh Nation) and Canada Lands Company (MST-CLC) is thrilled to share that late today, Vancouver City Council unanimously approved the ʔəy̓alməxʷ/Iy̓álmexw/Jericho Lands Official Development Plan.
