Introducing the Office of the Integrity Commissioner

In May 2024 Council appointed an Integrity Commissioner to address governance policy and procedure and supports the Nation’s vision of Wa ta Ts’its’áp’nitumulh Chet (For Our Government), which emphasizes the importance of good governance, transparency and accountability within the Squamish Nation.

Sen̓áḵw Water and Sewer Fee Law

Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation) is developing a new bylaw about water and sewer fees for the Sen̓áḵw development. This bylaw will allow Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw to charge tenants for using water and sewer services, similar to how the City of Vancouver charges for sewer services. Notice of Proposed Amendments to the Squamish Nation Council Governance Policy and Council Governance Procedures

Pursuant to Part 9 of the Council Governance Policy and Part 3 of the Council Governance Procedures Council is providing membership with 45 days from the date of this Notice to provide responses/feedback on the proposed amendments.
