Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw is continuously working on wellness and benefit initiatives to support employees and their families by ensuring market competitiveness and staying on top of trends.
We currently have a group benefits plan—which is 100% Nation paid for all eligible employees and their eligible family members—and a pension plan with the opportunity to have the Nation match up to 8% with an additional 2% unmatched voluntary option. The Nation also offers a 2.2% supplementary saving plan account. In addition, employees can access and use their leave bank, family days, and vacation days.

Approval given for Second Floatel in Squamish
Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw Council approved the second floatel following a review process under the Squamish National Environmental Assessment Agreement (SNEAA) -- the first Indigenous-led environmental assessment of its kind.

We are unveiling The Valley’s Plan next month, a first of its kind in the Squamish Valley. It gathers all plans (past, present, future) and clearly explains what we would like to accomplish in the Squamish Valley over the next 10 years.
