The Elders Centre in North Vancouver provides programs for Elders, age 55 and over. The programs support social connection, independence and overall wellbeing – those 65+ have priority for special programming. There are a variety of weekly activities such as lunches, chair yoga, Squamish language class, weaving, drum-making and other traditional activities.
A variety of outings are offered visiting different locations, so our Elders can enjoy both the outdoors and the Lower Mainland. Our Elders love a good party, so we have quarterly birthday lunches and a yearly Christmas lunch that bring together our Elders from both Squamish Valley and North Vancouver communities.
All Elders attending programs and events must follow the Elders Centre Respectful Relationship Code (RRC). If you are unfamiliar with the code, please reach out to get a copy of the code.
The Squamish Nation Elder’s Centre maintains a robust monthly calendar that is posted on their Facebook page North Vancouver Elder’s Centre
