The Income Assistance team is tasked with the efficient administration of the Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) Income Assistance program. This program offers financial support to eligible on-reserve adults and their dependents who are unable to meet their basic needs, which may encompass covering the costs of essentials like food, clothing, as well as rent and utilities allowances.
The team assists Members living on-reserve to:
- Maintain a basic standard of living.
- Prevent dependency by developing individual and family strengths.
- Assist recipients to access services that will enhance their ability to assume primary responsibility for their own affairs.

Housing Allocation Coming in 2025: Update Your Information Today
The Squamish Nation has updated its Housing Allocations Policy to enhance clarity, transparency, and consistency in managing the Housing List and making allocation decisions. This updated policy will guide the next housing allocation process, which includes up to 15 lots and homes. The new allocation is expected to take place in 2025, marking the first allocation in seven years.
