Strategic Plan 2026-2030

Squamish Nation Nexwsxwníw̓ntm ta Úxwumixw (Council) recently approved the Strategic Plan, 2026-2030 to guide our Nation for the next four years.

The Strategic Plan builds on the Úxwumixw 2050: Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Generational Plan. While the Generational Plan says where the Nation is going over a generation (25 years), the Strategic Plan says what actions will be taken in the next four years.

The four priorities of our Strategic Plan, 2026–2030, will define the focus and work of our Nation from now until 2030.

Our four priorities:

  • Build Healthy, Safe, Complete Communities
  • Deepen a Sense of Purpose, Belonging and Financial Well-being
  • Expand Protection and Control Over Lands and Waters
  • Strengthen the Foundation for Squamish Nation’s Success

Each clear priority is backed by measurable objectives, and commitments to be shared in Community
