The Communications team supports the Nation’s Divisions by providing strategic communications advice on their projects and initiatives, and creating written and visual content to support objectives. As part of this work, the team implements the organization’s branding and manages official Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw platforms, including:

  • website
  • social media channels
  • the Nation’s app
  • Member email list
  • digital asset management system

The Communications team also facilitates requests for media interviews or quotes from Nexwsxwníw̓ntm ta Úxwumixw (Council) Spokespersons.

To officially and properly extend an invitation to Nexwsxwníw̓ntm ta Úxwumixw (Council) to attend an event, please contact the Protocol Team in the Ta na wa Chen̓tm (Chair & Council Office) at protocol@squamish.net.

Returning to Sen̓áḵw

Over a century ago, Squamish People were forcibly removed from our village at Sen̓áḵw. Our homes were destroyed, but our connection to the land remained strong. In 2026 we are proud to invite our People home to Sen̓áḵw.
