Come together to honour 103 years of community strength and the Nation’s enduring legacy since amalgamation. Enjoy a day filled with delicious food, rich cultural experiences, storytelling, live music and vendor booths, plus fun activities happening in the Ḵw’eshḵw’shétsutay̓ (Playing Place)
Event Details:
- Thursday, July 23, 2026
- 3 – 7 pm
- Chief Joe Mathias Centre
- Hot dogs, sandwiches and light snacks will be served from 3 – 4 pm
- Dinner will be served from 5 – 7 pm
- Movie Night: GOAT
- Movie begins at dusk (around 9:15 pm)
- Xwmélch’sten Field
End the day with a movie under the stars, a perfect close to an evening of connection and celebration. This family-friendly event is a beautiful reflection of our cherished traditions of sharing, giving, and coming together as one community.

Projects to Mark 100th Anniversary of Amalgamation
To help mark the 100th anniversary of Amalgamation, Ta na wa Shéway I7x̱w ta Úxwumixw (Planning & Capital Projects), on behalf of Nexwsxwníw̓ntm ta Úxwumixw (Council), completed several community legacy projects.
Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Excellence Awards Recipients
In the spirit of celebrating 100 years of Amalgamation, the Nation hosted the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Excellence Awards Gala as part of Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Days Festival 2023. The event on July 15 formally recognized Members who have made a significant contribution to our community or have worked hard to become successful and inspire others.
Squamish Strong Protocol Agreements Signed
As a part of the celebrations of the 100-year anniversary of the Amalgamation of Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw, we are pleased to announce the Nation is signing a Wa Iyí̓m ta Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Protocol Agreement with the City of North Vancouver, District of Squamish, and the City of Vancouver respectively.
