Projects to Mark 100th Anniversary of Amalgamation

To help mark the 100th anniversary of Amalgamation, Ta na wa Shéway I7x̱w ta Úxwumixw (Planning & Capital Projects), on behalf of Nexwsxwníw̓ntm ta Úxwumixw (Council), completed several community legacy projects.

Upgrades to Wíwḵ’em sports box

The sports box now has new multi-sport court surface and lines, new basketball backboards and nets, a thunderbird centre court logo, and a branded privacy screen.

The sports box is open again for all to enjoy!

Redesigned street signage

Dual language stop signs and redesigned street signs are being installed in several communities from July 17 – 28, 2023.

Evans Lake backcountry washroom

If you’re visiting Evans Lake, you can now use the new washroom. Just don’t forget to bring your own toilet paper!
