The Emergency Planning & Response team focuses on increasing the Nation’s capacity to respond to emergencies like fires, floods, and heatwaves by providing the first 72-hour emergency support services to on-reserve Members and initial emergency support services to off-reserve Members.

To receive timely and important notifications and updates on critical events and other issues, sign up for Voyent Alert! It’s anonymous and only takes a few minutes to register. Members can receive notifications about critical events by phone, SMS, text, email, or app notification.
We are taking a community led approach to wildfire protection through FireSmart, an initiative that supports communities to reduce impacts to homes, infrastructure, and areas of importance. To reduce the risks of wildfires, the Nation is focused on education, vegetation management, development considerations, interagency cooperation, and emergency planning.

Approval given for Second Floatel in Squamish
Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw Council approved the second floatel following a review process under the Squamish National Environmental Assessment Agreement (SNEAA) -- the first Indigenous-led environmental assessment of its kind.

We are unveiling The Valley’s Plan next month, a first of its kind in the Squamish Valley. It gathers all plans (past, present, future) and clearly explains what we would like to accomplish in the Squamish Valley over the next 10 years.
