Háhalhi7iwan, meaning “becoming well in mind, body, and spirit,” reflects the department’s commitment to holistic wellness for Sḵwx̱wú7mesh People across all stages of life. The Wellness Department provides culturally grounded services for children, youth, adults, Elders and families. We walk alongside Members through times of crisis, healing and for lifelong wellness.
Our Wellness Department provides coordinated, accessible, and person-centred services, including therapeutic and mental health supports, substance use services, family supports, cultural and land-based healing, peer support, harm reduction, mobile outreach, crisis response and community wellness programming. Guided by Sḵwx̱wú7mesh values, teachings, and ways of knowing, we recognize that wellness is rooted in family, community, culture, and the land.
