2025 Housing List
To support with transparency, we are publishing the 2025 Housing List and providing some important background information for clarity in the documents and accordions below.
If you have any questions regarding the 2025 Housing List, please email CommunityLands@squamish.net or call 604-982-7610.
Additional Information:
The Housing List is the list of Nation Members who have applied for a custom home and lot allocation. It is managed by Wa Ns7eyx̱ ta Temíxw (Community Lands).
The Housing Policy defines four categories of the Housing List:
- Single
- Married/Common Law
- Single Parent
- Elder (65+)
Past engagement with Members identified the priorities of bringing families back to the community and supporting Elders. The Nation has not allocated homes to the Single category.
There is one master list that includes every applicant. There are 1387 applicants on the 2025 list.
An applicant’s position on the master list is based on their date of application. Applicants will always move up towards number 1 based on their date of application. An applicant will never move down the master list except in the extremely rare circumstance that there is an issue with another applicant’s date of application that is investigated and corrected.
An applicant’s category may change when a family situation changes the category for which they are eligible (e.g., if they become married or common law, have children, etc.). The order of applicants within a category is based on their original date of application.
When an applicant changes categories or is removed from the list, this can cause other applicants to move up or down within a category. Their position on the master list is not impacted.
If you need to update your information, the Housing Policy requires that you complete a Category Change Form. Staff cannot do this for you automatically. Please email CommunityLands@squamish.net or call 604-982-7610.
Yes, this year’s allocation process is currently underway based on the 2025 Housing List. Community Lands is now in contact with Members as part of the verification process.
It is the intention of Nation staff to provide the Housing List on an annual basis so that Members can see their position and update their information as needed.
- As part of the Squamish Nation Housing Policy Framework, Nation staff are working on separating the 2006 Housing Policy into individual policies. The focus of this work is improving clarity, transparency, and consistency in the Allocations Policy. Click here to learn more.
Hiy̓ám̓ Housing maintains its own applicant database and waitlists, which are not connected to the Housing List. Renting in a Hiy̓ám̓ Housing building does not remove you from the Housing List: you can be renting an apartment while waiting for a custom lot and home allocation.

Members can login to the website to view the 2025 Housing List. Also, Members can visit the Community Lands office and request a printed copy of the Housing List.
If you applied after April 2025, and your application was accepted, you are on the list and your ranking will be visible on next year’s Housing List.
If you need to update your information, the Housing Policy requires that you complete a Category Change Form. Staff cannot do this for you automatically. Please email CommunityLands@squamish.net or call 604-982-7610.
