We will be soon expanding our team to include Outreach Workers. The team provides general medical care, assessments, physical examinations, diagnoses, treatment plans, prescribing, referral, health information, education, and advice. They can also refer to traditional healers, massage therapists, reiki, and other alternative services.
Medical Office Assistants can book your appointments and answer any non-clinical or non-medical queries. They will be your first point of contact at our Kal’númet Primary Care Clinics. The Primary Care team also has Public Health Nurses (PHNs) providing community-based health services and information.
PHNs provide community-based health services and information/education, with the focus on disease prevention and health promotion.
Services include:
- Pre- and post-natal education and care
- Child health clinics and immunizations
- Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) health information/services (ex. Pap testing, HPV testing, etc.)
- Pregnancy testing
- Contraception resources and information
- Vaccine clinics (ex. Flu vaccines, COVID-19, Shingles, etc.)
- Communicable disease control (including TB skin tests)
- Diabetes awareness and education
- School and childcare facilities support and education
- Health advocacy, referrals and liaison services for community members and families

Approval given for Second Floatel in Squamish
Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw Council approved the second floatel following a review process under the Squamish National Environmental Assessment Agreement (SNEAA) -- the first Indigenous-led environmental assessment of its kind.

We are unveiling The Valley’s Plan next month, a first of its kind in the Squamish Valley. It gathers all plans (past, present, future) and clearly explains what we would like to accomplish in the Squamish Valley over the next 10 years.
