Fresh Sockeye Salmon Delivery for Elders
There will be an Elders fish delivery on the afternoon of Thursday, August 14 on-reserve on the North Shore and Squamish Valley. This is an announcement for Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation) Elders (65+) to get ready for fresh sockeye salmon.
Statement to Squamish Nation Members re: Cowichan Tribes v. Canada Court Case
We are aware of the BC Supreme Court of British Columbia decision in favour of the Cowichan Alliance’s claims of Aboriginal title to 780 acres in south Richmond, British Columbia, on the south arm of the Fraser River.

The 2025 ḵ’iyí7ch (Elk) Draw was conducted at the Rights and Title Department Office on Eslha7an at 1:30 pm on August 7, 2025, by Natural Resources staff.
Elder Gwen Harry recognized with the Order of BC
Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation) celebrates Elder Gwen Harry, who was recognized yesterday with the Order of British Columbia. A total of 15 individuals will be honoured this year at a ceremony in Victoria on September 16, 2025.
