On behalf of the Squamish Nation, Nexwnínlhewá7nem Ch’áwch’aw (People Services) would like to invite all Sḵwx̱wú7mesh People to join them in “Walking Forward”, an event honouring Sixties Scoop survivors from our community.

This will be a cultural ceremony of Squamish ways, including blanketing, brushing off and blessing of the survivors. This event will be focused on healing, acceptance, and acknowledging the harms endured by survivors of the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s scoops.

Lunch will be provided and participants will also receive a healing bundle.
