The Valley Plan is a public document that describes a 10-year vision for the Squamish Valley. The made-in-the-Valley Plan advances growth and sustainability and brings together all the existing programs and projects under one umbrella.

Looking back, paddling forward: Ta Skwekwiy̓íntsuts ta Sx̱wéx̱wel, Squamish Valley Community Plan (also known as The Valley’s Plan), is at the confluence of decades of past planning work and feedback from Valley people. It sets priority areas and speaks to the importance of how projects should be implemented.

There are major projects planned and underway in both the Valley and at the Nation-level. Collectively, these projects will transform the Valley in a good way over the next several years and within the timeline of The Valley’s Plan.

These transformational projects provide a foundation for rolling out this plan’s actions. Together, The Valley’s Plan actions and the foundational projects provide a pathway, or stream, upon which we can paddle together towards our 2035 Vision.

WHERE ARE WE AT

Ta Skwekwiy̓íntsuts ta Sx̱wéx̱wel (The Valley’s Plan) has been in development for the past year. Organized around a 10-year vision, it will inform our Nation’s next Council Strategic Plan (2026 – 2030) and inform the development of Squamish Nations departmental annual plans.
