When Squamish Nation Offices are closed, here’s where to connect

The Squamish Nation offices will be closed from Tuesday, December 23 to Friday, January 2. Regular office hours will resume on Monday, January 5. 

There are still many supports available to Squamish People and Community during office closures. You can find more information below.

Stay Connected

Experiencing an Emergency? Call 9-1-1

  • Call Public Safety after calling 9-1-1. They ensure you feel safe and supported. 24/7 Public Safety Line: 604-982-9938.

Evacuation support (house fires, floods, extreme weather)

The Emergency Planning & Response team focuses on increasing the Nation’s capacity to respond to emergencies like fires, floods, and heatwaves by providing the first 72-hour emergency support services to on-reserve Members and initial emergency support services to off-reserve Members.

Member Services offers various support to community, including funerals support or emergency shelter, food, utilities, hospital support.

Mobile Outreach Van

Our Mobile Outreach Counselling Van will be moving through North Vancouver & Squamish Valley throughout the holidays.

Services available:

  • Counselling, wellness supports & check-ins
  • Connection to referrals for people services departments (Ayás Mén̓men, Ts’its’ixwnítway Member Services, Yúustway Health)
  • Traditional medicine bundles
  • Comfort items like snacks, socks, toques, blankets
  • Harm reduction supplies

Below are the opening hours of CJMC over the holidays. These include the gymnasium, weight room and Playing Place.

  • Dec 23, 27-30: 8am — 8pm
  • Dec 24 & 31: 10am — 6pm
  • Dec 25-26 & Jan 1: CLOSED
  • Jan 2-3: 8am — 8pm
  • Jan 4: 9am — 5pm

Programs offered during the break include volleyball, floor hockey, drumming & singing, circuit training, pilates and social circus. You can find the schedule here.
