The second round of the 2022/2023 Sport & Recreation Grant Applications is now open! Opportunities are available for Individual High-Performance, Individual Recreation, Team Sponsorship, and Event Sponsorship funding.

If you applied for and received funding in February 2022 you are NOT eligible to apply or receive funding this round. This is per Section 4.5 (e) of the Sports and Recreation Grant Policy that states: Ineligible applications are: (e) Those submitted by the same group or individuals who received Sports Grants in the most recent call for applications.  

We’re here to help! If you need assistance or guidance to complete your application our Recreation team is available to support you. We can provide assistance in person (with COVID protocols in place), on the phone, or over Zoom. Book an appointment through Justine Sobell at Recreation.  

To ensure all Members have equal opportunities to receive funding, we encourage you to seek assistance if needed.

  • Complete the grant application form in full.
  • Ensure you apply to the correct funding category based on your sport or recreation endeavours.
  • All sections must be completed in order for your application to be processed.

Review Panel – Seeking Members

We are seeking Members to apply for the Sport and Recreation Grant Review Panel.

  • This is a volunteer position.
  • Panel members will be compensated $25.00 for gas.


The panel will be comprised of four Squamish Nation Members; one panelist is required to be a resident of Squamish Valley.
