Sports & Recreation Grant Applications Now Open!

Applications are now open for Cycle 1 of the 2025 Sports & Recreation Grant. Deadline to submit application is Friday, March 7, 2025.
Funding is available in the following categories:
- Individual High Performance
- Individual Recreation
- Team Sponsorship
- Event Sponsorship
Please note: If you applied for and received funding for Cycle 2 in July 2024, you are not eligible to apply for this round.

- The grant has two cycles of funding per year.
- Funding Cycle 1 is in February and Cycle 2 is in July. YOU ARE ONLY ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR ONE ROUND OF FUNDING per fiscal year.
- Funding must be spent between March 2025 and February 2026.
- Priority is given to applicants ages 25 and under.
- The grant must be used by the person for whom the grant was approved and for; no portion of the grant can be transferred to someone else.
- The maximum funding amount is NOT guaranteed; funding is determined based on the amount of applications received and the information/details provided in your application.
- Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
- The Grant Review Panel has consent to move an applicant to a different funding category based on the information/details provided in your application.
- Groceries and clothing are NOT eligible expenses.
- Gas/fuel for travel expenses are only eligible for up to $200.
- Large single-user items such as treadmills are not eligible expenses.
- If you applied for and received funding for Cycle 2 in July 2024, you are not eligible to apply for this round.
- Ensure you read the funding categories thoroughly below and select the appropriate category for your sport and recreation activities and or level.
- If you are applying on behalf of a child (the applicant) please ensure you complete both the applicant and payee sections in full.
