We’re proud to continue to take steps forward in returning our Squamish People back to Sen̓áḵw. While Sen̓áḵw is a village that welcomes all, housing Squamish People is our priority. As homes at Sen̓áḵw prepare to open this summer, Squamish People have three pathways to live in the village. The three pathways are: Hiy̓ám̓ Housing, Affordable Homes and Market Homes.
The Hiy̓ám̓ Housing application process is underway – and this week applications open for the Affordable Homes pathway through our partner, Rennie. More than 200 Affordable Home units are available to Squamish People in the mid-to-low range of rent. Squamish People will be prioritized for the Affordable Homes units, followed by other Indigenous Peoples, then non-Indigenous people.
How the Affordable Home Application Process Works
- If you’ve had a chance to tour our ancestral village and submitted an Expression of Interest Form, a rental advisor from Rennie Marketing will be in touch soon to provide a full application.
- If you pre-registered on the Sen̓áḵw website, you will be receiving an email from Rennie asking you to fill out the Expression of Interest Form.
- If you haven’t had a chance to tour Sen̓áḵw, or pre-register, but are interested in applying for Affordable Homes at Sen̓áḵw, please complete an Expression of Interest Form.
We encourage Members to ensure they have completed the Expression of Interest Form so they can begin the application process. Once that form is complete, you will be contacted by Rennie with an application to live at Sen̓áḵw.
You will have five days to submit a completed application. If you do not reply within five days, the process moves to another person who has submitted an Expression of Interest Form.
Completed applications will be reviewed by Rennie in the order they are received.

- Submit the application within five days of receiving it.

Rental homes with assistance for Squamish Nation Members are managed by Hiy̓ám̓ Housing. The application process for Hiy̓ám̓ Housing Homes is open. Applications are being accepted until April 10, 2026.
Applications after April 10, 2026 will go on a Sen̓áḵw Hiy̓ám̓ Housing waitlist.
