Yúustway (Health and Wellness) is excited to announce their new medical transportation driver for Squamish Valley.
Jason Wilson has 25 years of experience as a truck driver, is a member of the Swan River Nation, and was raised in Squamish. He joined the Nation because he wanted a community focused role that would allow him to connect more with Sḵwx̱wú7mesh members of all ages.
The Medical Transportation Program provides transportation assistance only for medical appointments that are located within Squamish Valley, and within 30 km of the client’s residence. It is intended to support Elders, individuals with disabilities, and low-income community members who do not have access to a personal vehicle.
The program provides rides to:
- Doctor’s appointments
- Specialist visits
- Hospital appointments
- Medical testing and treatment
