The Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation) invites veterans, families, and community members to join in commemorating Indigenous war veterans both past and present at two meaningful ceremonies this month.
- Squamish Nation Remembrance Day – November 11
St. Paul’s Indian Catholic Church, North Vancouver- 10 am – Remembrance Day Service and Showing of Pictures Proceed to Monument next to St. Paul’s Church
- 11 am – Ceremony with drumming, flag tribute, prayers, and wreath laying
Lunch will be served in the church basement following the ceremony. These events are a heartfelt tribute to “Those Who Went to War” and a reminder to never forget their sacrifices.
