Simon Fraser University invites you to celebrate the official Grand Opening of the First Peoples’ Gathering House at the university’s Burnaby campus.

The First Peoples’ Gathering House is more than a building — it’s a home away from home for Indigenous students and staff, and a space for ceremony, cultural learning, and community connection. It’s part of SFU’s ongoing commitment to Truth and Reconciliation.

What to expect at the opening:

  • Live performances from Indigenous artists and performers
  • A serving of bannock
  • Guided tours of the new Gathering House

Located near the SFU Transit Exchange, across from Strand Hall, beside the Trottier Observatory

This event is free – all are welcome, no registration required
