Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation) Members, Pam Baker and Harold Calla, received awards and were honoured at the Indigenous Business Awards yesterday. We congratulate Pam and Harold for being recognized for their dedication and trailblazing work in their fields.
The Indigenous Business Award program celebrates excellence in entrepreneurship and innovation and recognizes businesses and entrepreneurs who drive transformative change within their communities.
Touch of Culture, an Indigenous-owned fashion business founded by Pam Baker, received the Business of the Year one to two person enterprise award. Pam is a designer who has shared her knowledge and empowered others over the years.
Harold Calla received the Award of Distinction for his work over the past 30+ years. He has accomplished many things in his career while serving in leadership, negotiation, and finance roles. Harold is currently the Executive Chair of the First Nations Financial Management Board.
We would also like to recognize the other 2025 awardees in categories ranging from young entrepreneur to community-owned businesses. These awards celebrate “success, creativity, and the strength of Indigenous perspectives, inspiring the next generation of emerging leaders.”
