Recreation programs are available for Members, community members, and Nation staff in the North Shore and Squamish Valley.
Spring 2026 CJMC Recreation Program GuideA variety of activities such as fitness classes, youth sports, adult programs, and family events are offered by the Recreation Teams at the Chief Joe Mathias Centre and in Squamish Valley.
Programs are free for Nation Members, community members, and Nation staff however, registration may be required.

A full campfire ban is in place across Squamish Nation Lands and Territory due to hot, dry conditions leading to wildfire risks. The wildfire danger rating is now labelled "High."

On Friday, May 8, Sen̓áḵw’s first tower was blessed. Following the announcement of the occupancy permit, Sen̓áḵw hosted a beautiful blessing ceremony at the entrance of the tower.

Sḵwx̱wú7mesh People living on reserve can apply for free home retrofits. These upgrades can include new windows, ventilation, insulation, or a new heat pump.
