Help shape how Squamish Nation services are delivered
Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation) is inviting all Squamish People to take part in the 2026 Satisfaction Survey.
This survey is an essential way for Community to share feedback on accessing Nation services and information. A chance to say what is working, and where improvements are needed.
All Squamish people living off and on reserve and their families (e.g. spouse, child, parent) that access Squamish Nation services and aged 16+ can complete this survey.
(This short survey takes about 10 minutes)
What we heard in the last survey
The 2024 Satisfaction Survey showed that while the majority of Community were able to access the information and services they needed, just under half of respondents experienced some barriers.
This highlighted that there is still important work to do to ensure services and information are accessible for all Squamish People and Community Members, both on and off reserve.
Actions taken
In response, several Nation departments have taken action to improve how Community connects with services and information, including:
- Faster responses: Many departments now aim to respond to calls and emails within 24–48 hours. If more time is needed for a follow-up, Community Members will receive an acknowledgement on their inquiry.
- Improved phone access: New phone systems help ensure calls are answered more quickly by directing calls across multiple staff members.
- Dedicated support staff: Some departments have assigned team members or added reception staff to monitor calls and emails and help connect Community Members to the right person.
- Better access to information: Departments are working with Communications to update contact information on our website. Some departments are moving to a single general email address to make intake and response faster.
- Stronger communication: Departments are improving how they share information through newsletters, social media, and advance notice of events.
- Bringing services into Community: Initiatives such as Nexwnínlhewá7nem Ch’áwch’aw hén̓xwilhem (People Services on Wheels) are helping bring services directly to Community to reduce barriers.
