The 2025 ḵ’iyí7ch (Elk) Draw was conducted at the Rights and Title Department Office on Eslha7an at 1:30 pm on August 7, 2025, by Natural Resources staff.
61 Squamish People entered, with each person vying for four locations of their choosing: McNab Creek, Rainy River, Sunshine Coast, and Squamish Valley.
The 24 Elk Draw Winners will receive an information package from the Rights and Title Land Guardians, Eric Baker and/or Jeremiah Groves. All winners must report any successful harvest to Eric_Baker@squamish.net and Jeremiah_Groves@squamish.net, and must respond to a mandatory short questionnaire at the end of the hunting season, regardless of their success. Failure to do so may result in ineligibility for future draws.
Elk tags are non-transferable and must be harvested with a valid Personal Acquisition License (PAL). Visit bit.ly/hunting-zone-boundaries to find maps of the Elk Hunting Zone boundaries.
