Values Engagement Survey 2025 

From now until August 31, we invite Sḵwx̱wú7mesh People and Community Members to complete the Values Engagement Survey 2025—online or in-person at events. 

The survey’s goal is to answer an important question: “Are administrative staff doing the work in accordance with the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw organizational values?” 

Your feedback is essential in helping the Nation track progress through our Values & Principles Index. The Nation will be speaking to Members on an annual basis to ensure that our work continues to be in alignment with the values and principles identified in the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw 2026 Strategic Plan.  

How do I complete the survey? 

  • In-person: You can complete the survey in-person at Amalgamation Day today on July 23, our Pride Celebration on July 25, and our August Distribution days in North Vancouver and Squamish Valley.  

Past Surveys 

Responses from the Values Survey 2024 have been compiled into the Values and Principles Engagement Report 2025 and provided to Nexwsxwníw̓ntm ta Úxwumixw (Council).

Approval given for Second Floatel in Squamish

Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw Council approved the second floatel following a review process under the Squamish National Environmental Assessment Agreement (SNEAA) -- the first Indigenous-led environmental assessment of its kind.

Unveiling the Squamish Valley Community Plan

We are unveiling The Valley’s Plan next month, a first of its kind in the Squamish Valley. It gathers all plans (past, present, future) and clearly explains what we would like to accomplish in the Squamish Valley over the next 10 years. 

Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw Constitution Project Update

During the past two years, we’ve collected input from our community-- at events, family dinners, and through online surveys -- about what should be in our Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw Constitution.
