Applications now open for 2025 ḵ’iyí7ch (Elk) Hunt Draw
Sḵwx̱wú7mesh People that would like to enter the 2025 Elk Hunt Draw must fill out the application form to be eligible.
The entry deadline is Thursday, July 31 at 11:59 pm.
Paper forms can be requested and submitted by email to Eric_Baker@squamish.net, or in person at the Rights and Title Department Office, 415 West Esplanade Avenue, North Vancouver.
Sḵwx̱wú7mesh hunters must have a valid Possession and Acquisition License (PAL) to enter. Elk tags are allocated for specific hunting zones and are non-transferable. If you are a draw winner you must fill out a mandatory questionnaire at the end of the hunting reason, regardless of your success. Please remember the importance of firearm safety and respecting non-shooting areas.
Draw Rules
- Please pick the location(s) where you want to hunt
- One name is drawn for each tag
- Tags are non-transferable
- You MUST have a valid Personal Acquisition License (PAL) to receive a tag.
- You MUST fill out the application form
Each tag is allocated for specific Hunting Zones. Unfortunately, elk poaching continues to be a problem. Sḵwx̱wú7mesh People are collectively responsible for managing our elk populations within Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Territory. All hunters must comply with compulsory inspection of harvested elk and failure to do so will result in ineligibility for future Squamish Nation elk draws.
