How to participate:

Record yourself saying wa iy̓ím ta Sḵwx̱wú7mesh. Tag the Squamish Nation on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter. Anyone can participate and post a video, including the public. Remember to include the hashtag #SquamishStrong

Contest Rules:
Everyone who participates will be entered in a draw for one of three $200 gift cards (only the profiles that share posts will be entered, if there are group videos). Ensure that your profile is not private, otherwise the Nation may not see your post and you won’t be entered in the prize draw. The deadline for the video contest is July 23, 2023.

All eligible entries will be included in the draw at the end of July. Winners will be selected using online randomized draw software to ensure fairness. Staff will contact winners on the social media platform associated with the winner’s post.

Who is ineligible to win a prize:

Council, Chairperson, and government officials.

Gift cards:

Squamish Nation staff will be distributing gift cards via a link to video contest winners.
