IMPORTANT NOTICE: SQUAMISH NATION COVID-19 VACCINATION CLINICS

Last update: March 26, 2021

Important update about next week’s COVID-19 vaccination clinics

As a reminder, all members 18 years of age and older who live close to the clinic sites (on and off-reserve) can register for their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at next week’s clinics. Vaccines are critical to protecting our community, especially our Elders and most vulnerable, so we can all get back to normal as soon as possible.

Today is the last day to register by phone for the vaccination clinics. The last day we can accept email registration for the clinics is end of day Saturday, March 27th.

New information about the vaccine clinics:

Off-reserve members, we have a limited supply of vaccine that we can make available to people that live in your household who are not members. If you have previously emailed us asking about these family members, we have a list and will attempt to contact you today to schedule an appointment.

All members: If you have tested positive for COVID-19 within the last three (3) months, you can now get your first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, as long as you’ve been cleared no later than midnight the day before your vaccination appointment.

The Squamish Nation will be receiving more COVID-19 vaccines the week of March 29, 2021. All Squamish Nation members (and non-members living on reserve) 18 years and older can now sign up to get their first dose of the vaccine.

Yúustway Health and Wellness will be scheduling clients by appointment only for these clinics. Make sure you have your CareCard/Personal Health Number ready when you book your appointment.

We understand that some households may not have access to all forms of communication so we ask that you please share this information with your family and/or neighbours that may have barriers, and have them get in touch with the Yúustway Health and Wellness department.

Visit the First Nations Health Authority website to learn more about the COVID-19 vaccine.
