I am very pleased to share with Squamish Nation Members the appointment of Mindy Wight as our new Chief Financial Officer. The appointment follows a competitive Canada-wide candidate search and thorough review process.

Mindy Wight has over a decade of experience in the areas of financial accounting, taxation, and business. She was recently a partner with a National accounting firm and has also served as the Chair of the Board of Nch’kaỷ Development Corporation.  Mindy has published articles, created webinars and presented at numerous conferences on Indigenous tax matters and First Nation corporate structures. Mindy is a Member of the Squamish Nation.

Mindy is a Chartered Professional Accountant, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 2009. She received a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Northern British Columbia. She is also a graduate of Leading People and Investing to Build Sustainable Communities, a Harvard Business School certificate program.
