Notice – Lower Lynn Improvements Project – New Keith Road Overpass Pile Driving (see attached notice and sketch below)
Please be advised that the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure will be starting pile driving on the east side of Highway 1 from June 17 – July 19, 2019. Once completed they will move to the west side of Highway to begin pile driving July 29 – August 23, 2019. Note that pile driving will occur during daytime work hours.
The new Keith Road Overpass is scheduled to be completed in October 2019 at which time traffic will be moved over onto it and the old Fern St overpass will be demolished (will provide more information in the fall) and a new soundwall will be installed.
Notice – Lower Lynn Improvements Project – New Lynn Creek Bridges trail closures
For safety reasons, the west side Lynn Creek trail which crosses underneath the existing Highway 1 Lynn Creek Bridge will remain closed during the new Lynn Creek Bridge construction. Special consideration for the east side trail is being made to ensure there is access to Lynnmour Elementary School for students and parents year round however there may be bridge construction activities which may require temporary detours during July and August. Detour notices will be distributed and posted on site in advance.
