Re: Remote learning offered to grade 7

I hope that this message finds you keeping well and safe.

At this time, we would like to thank you for your patience and understanding, as we awaited confirmation of our request to extend grades here at Capilano Little Ones, to offer remote learning for children up to grade 7. In August, as families began to consider options for schooling, we learned through a community survey, of the need for an option to provide remote learning from within our community.

In light of the current health crisis, and our community request, Indigenous Services Canada has moved forward with a conditional approval for this 2020_21 school year. What this means, is that we are now open to registration for elementary aged students through grade 7, for remote learning. Remote learners registered would remain with the school for the full school year through June 2021.

For parents and guardians of elementary aged students up to grade 7 interested in this option, please contact the school directly to learn about our registration process. We will then set up an initial meeting with our remote learning teacher to get started. Our model will provide students with opportunity for remote 1-1 and/or group sessions, with weekly learning packages and support.

Please contact us at the school for more information at 604-985-1515.
