The Squamish Nation receives requests for various types of events, openings, ceremonies and workshop facilitators.
If you would like to be added to our resource list and are interested in being on-call for an opportunity, please complete the below Submission Form and send it to our Ta na wa Ns7éyxnitm ta Snew̓ íyelh (Language and Cultural Affairs) Department.
Below is a list of common types of ongoing requests that our department receives:
• Traditional Welcomes
• Speakers for various ceremonies/events
• Opening Prayers
• Performers – Dancers (individual/group)
• Singers (individual/group)
• Weavers – cedar & wool
• Drum Makers
• Storytellers
• Historians
• Gatherers and Preparers of Food & Medicines
• Plant and medicine knowledge
• Artists (Logo designs, welcome figures, etc.)
• Workshop facilitators – schools, departments, other
