A natural landslide occurred on the west bank of the Capilano River near the Suspension Bridge on January 6, 2021. A portion of a walking trail is closed due to safety concerns and District of West Vancouver staff are working on controlling the area. Soil that was washed out during the slide is causing some sedimentation in the River. Members may notice silty water in the River and outflow into Burrard Inlet in the next few days.
Contact email@example.com if there are specific concerns or observations about sedimentation in the Capilano River.
