DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, September 26\, the Yúusnew̓as Family will host a Community Burning at the former St. Paul’s Residential School site (St. Thomas Aquinas High School in North Vancouver). Yúusnew̓as is a Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Community-led project to research and document the residential school experiences of our People. The ceremony is not for the general public\, but is open to anyone in Community\, with a warm welcome extended to our Elders and Survivors.  \nThe Community Burning is part of our shared journey to acknowledge and reconcile the harms to our People caused by the residential school system.
