SUMMARY:CJMC Summer Fun 2026
DESCRIPTION:Changes are coming to the annual CJMC Summer Fun camps. To be as inclusive as possible\, some new procedures will allow more Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation) kids to experience Summer Fun.   \n\nRegistration will open here on Sunday\, June 14\, at 7pm. This gives all parents equal opportunity at the time of registration. Done on a first come\, first serve basis\, applicants will be admitted in the order the submissions are received.   \n\n\nEach child may only attend one camp. This gives 400 children a chance to attend camp. The outings each month will be similar but not the same.   \n\n\nWe will only be providing snacks\, fruit\, and water bottles at CJMC Summer Fun this year. Lunch will be the parent’s responsibility. With more children attending\, we need more of the budget to go towards more outings. Please do not send money with your child (for lunch or spending money) as they will not be allowed to spend it.  \n\nCamp runs from July 13 – August 21.  \nParents may only register each child for one camp only (July or August).   \n6 – 7-year-olds: July 13-16 or August 4-7.   \n8 – 9-year-olds: July 20-23 or August 10-13.   \n10 – 12-year-olds: July 27-30 or August 17-20.   \nTeens (13 – 16-year-olds): Friday July 17\, Friday July 31\, Friday\, August 14 (teens attend both months).   \nMeeting spot: Capilano Field  \nCamp runs from 9am – 3pm.   \nBus service is available for children living on Mission and Seymour Reserves and the Condos only. No bus service for children living on Capilano Reserve. Further details on bus service will be provided in a “parent package” after children are accepted into camp.  \nPlease contact Shannon Dawn Baker\, Youth Program Coordinator\, with any questions or concerns. She’s at shannon_baker@squamish.net or (604) 499-2384.
