Open to people of all ages\, this will be a safe space for Squamish People to gather and learn healing methods that honour culture\, tradition\, spirituality\, and strengthen social connections. It will focus on the seven circles of wellness (Community\, Food\, Sleep\, Movement\, Ceremony\, Sacred Space\, and Land). \nMay 23 | Chief Joe Mathias Centre | 3:30 – 7:30 pm | Dinner served at 5:00 pm \nPlease note that 2:30 – 3:30 pm will be dedicated for Elders (only) and will feature a crafting circle. \nWe will be featuring presentations on traditional medicines\, healthy sleep\, diabetes awareness and more\, and Joyce Leppington from Len Pierre Consulting will join us as our keynote speaker. There will also be samples of traditional foods\, cedar brushing and sharing of traditional dance.
