DESCRIPTION:The Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw is providing free or discounted personal tax preparation services for Squamish People.  \nThis service is available to Squamish People with simple tax returns\, i.e. not available to non-members or those with business or rental income.   \nThis service is free of charge for the following Squamish People:  \n\nElders (55+) \n\n\nIncome Assistance clients \n\n\nThose with low 2025 income as determined by the Canada Revenue Agency \n\nIf you are a Squamish Person who is not eligible for free filing\, you will still get the advantage of being charged a discounted price.  \nEligible Squamish People can submit their tax documents from March 9 to May 15 at the following locations:  \nNorth Vancouver   \n\nH&R Block at 1754 Lonsdale Avenue – visit the branch directly during their operating hours. \n\n\nH&R Block at 960 Marine Drive – visit the branch directly during their operating hours. \n\n\nOnline – through this link. \n\n\nNorth Vancouver Office – submit documents from Monday to Friday\, from 9am to 4pm. \n\n\nService for housebound people: To request an at home visit\, please call the Main Office at 604-980-4553 or email tax_returns@squamish.net.  \n\nSquamish Valley  \n\nTotem Hall Office – submit documents from Monday to Friday\, from 10am to 4 pm. DESCRIPTION:Registration for the 2026/2027 school year at Xwemélch’stn Etsimxwawtxw (Capilano Little Ones School) is underway and ongoing until June 30. \nSḵwx̱wú7mesh families with eligible children can now sign up for K4 and K5 classes (kindergarten for children aged four and five)\, as well as for new students enrolling in Grades 1–7. \nCurrent students who are returning do not need to re-register. \nTo register\, parents can go to the school’s website and download the application forms\, or they can go in person at 107 Lower Capilano Road. \nApplications are not considered complete until all necessary documents are submitted and all contact information is accurate and current for emergency situations. \nXwemélch’stn Etsimxwawtxw will then send a letter of acceptance as early as possible upon approval of a completed application. \nChildren are given priority registration if they are: \nA registered Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation) Member \nA child of a Registered Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw Member \nA registered Status Indian residing on a Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw Reserve \nIf a child does not meet the above criteria\, they may be registered if the school has available space and other applicable eligibility requirements are met. \nXwemélch’stn Etsimxwawtxw offers a program based on Indigenous Ways of Learning and Being.
