We are pleased to share syétsem tl’a syelánm (Annual Report) 2020-2021 with membership.
Prepared in accordance with Squamish Nation Financial Administration Bylaw 2019, the Annual Report is a publication which highlights the successes and challenges of the previous year by reporting on the Nation’s operational and financial performance. It also shares how well the Nation did in meeting its goals set in the Strategic Plan and the annual budget.
While the past year has been challenging, we have a lot to celebrate as we look back. We provided enhanced programs and services to support our people throughout the pandemic while making significant progress on a number of important initiatives related to our Strategic Plan.
The Annual Report is divided into several sections to help Members find the information they are interested in as well as understand the nature of the work that the Nation has completed and by whom. The Operational & Financial Highlights (page 4 – 8) and The Year in Review (page 18 – 23) provide a quick overview of the key ways our departments delivered value to Members over the past year. More detailed summaries on the activities of departments and Council Committees follow in the rest of the report.
We hope that membership finds this document useful in understanding how the Nation has, and will continue to, support and sustain our communities and culture.
