Aboriginal Day Celebration
The Squamish Nation, Squamish Valley Operations would like to invite you to participate in our 9th Annual Aboriginal Day Canoe Race Celebration!

- WHERE: Stawamus Waterfront
- WHY: To celebrate the unique heritage, diverse cultures, and outstanding achievements of Canada’s Aboriginal peoples.

This event is a community event and is open to all. This is an opportunity to meet members of the Squamish Nation. You can participate by watching a canoe race or join the race (we are currently looking for participants for the race)! There will be a lunch at noon and some activities planned for the event. We ask that you dress appropriately for the weather the day of (if raining, rain coat, boots, sunscreen if sunny, etc.).
If you plan on joining the race we would like to remind you that teams need their own canoe, safety devices, paddles and helmsman. Please RSVP to Rosemarie Williams (info above). We will then provide you with a more detailed agenda for the day.
