This policy requires the approval of Membership at the July 22nd, 2018 Special General Meeting and will be an opportunity for Members to bring forward amendments to the policy before its final approval.

Under the General Meeting Policy, the objective of General Meetings will be the debate and consideration of Resolutions submitted by Members. The deadline to submit a resolution is 30 days prior to a scheduled General Meeting.

The two-day Annual General Assembly in on September 29th and 30th will be a big event to bring together our Nation for a presentation on the Audited Financial Statements from the Squamish Nation’s auditors. This Annual General Assembly is a General Meeting under the General Meeting Policy and mandated in the Council Governance Policy.

Invitation to Submit Resolutions:

For the July 22nd, 2018 Special General Meeting, Members are invited to submit draft resolutions for consideration by Membership to Council_Admin@squamish.net or drop off at the Council Office. A resolution is a formal decision on or having an action take place related to the subject at hand. This is your opportunity as a member to bring your ideas forward and see if your community supports that idea.

We look forward to hearing from our members.

Thank you.
