Land Code Process:

Over the next several months, Chiefs and Council will inform membership through an extensive Consultation & Input Strategy by hosting information sessions:

• First Nation Land Management Act;
• Framework Agreement on First Nation Land Management;
• Land Code; and
• Individual Transfer Agreement.

The mandate of Chiefs and Council and Land Committee:

• To fully inform membership; and
• Obtain direction / mandates from membership to proceed with the Land Code Initiative.

Membership needs to be fully informed to make a decision on whether to approve a Squamish Nation Land Code and Individual Transfer Agreement. 

Nothing will be finalized without membership’s approval.
