Department Description
The department is comprised of Chief Gibby Jacob as Executive Operating Officer with Senior Operating Officer of Project Negotiations & Development arm, and Tom Butler in charge of Business Revenue.
Services Provided
Participation and negotiation with other First Nations, Provincial government and the Government of Canada. Consultation and referral with Province of British Columbia in the area of land use, traditional territory, and cultural issues.

Mission Statement
This business unit pursues and maintains key business relationships and manages strategies related to land and natural resources and revenue. It is also accountable for related public relations to membership. It has four primary functions: 1) to negotiate new jurisdictional, judicial, and administrative, and financial relationships with other levels of government in BC and Canada, and manage existing regimes and relationships; 2) to pursue legal claims and/or accommodation agreements as compensation for lands and resources; 3) to, on an on-going basis, pursue the broad business interests of Squamish Nation and; 4) to, on an ongoing basis, articulate the Nation’s perspective on lands, resources, and revenue issues.
