Capital Projects

The capital projects listed in Building Our Future  are still being pursued by the Housing and Capital Projects department. However, there have been delays in INAC funding due to program changes and the capital team is actively negotiating with them. In response to the high need for Membership housing, the department, working with Chiefs and Council, has implemented a strategic partnership to get the next 5 phases of Parcel G going. The Nation and Kerr Wood Leidel have advanced 100% of the funding for the final five phases of parcel “G.”

With more housing allocations on the way, we want to be ready with serviced lots to offer Members. Currently, the design of the remaining five phases of parcel “G” is being completed. We will submit the design to Chiefs and Council for review. Once the design is approved, a funding submission for construction of 1 or more phases will be submitted to INAC.
